Forgive for Allah’s sake. He will be the one to see it, to measure it .
He knows the true worth of acts of forgiveness. We have all made mistakes, have we not?
For your own mistakes, do something good every day in compensation, and give the reward of it away, away to the person you have wronged or hurt.
Because Allah will only forgive us where we fail in our obligations to Him.
But where we fail in our obligation to our fellow human beings and in what we owe one another, that’s for us to make right between ourselves. If we don’t, there’s nothing Allah can do for us.
